Tell us about yourself?
I’m Djeumenie Ramces Whilfrid from Cameroon, I’m a graduate from the Higher Institute for Professionalism and Excellence with a Bachelor’s degree in Food processing. I have always wanted to be a Food technologist from the very first day I met my Food science teacher in Highschool.
We’re currently in world with over 7 billion inhabitants and mankind needs adequate and sufficient food supply this is why I decided to study Food processing and I’m currently working on innovating the food processing section with a new product known as Nutri Custard powder which would be consumed by all age groups.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I wish I knew what I know now two years ago. I would have worked extremely hard to achieve what I’m working to achieve now
What problem does your business solve?
Malnutrition, unemployment, and global food safety
What is the inspiration behind your business?
The problem of malnutrition, unemployment and over dependent on foreign brands. The world rapidly needs new food formulas to sustain it already growing population to keep mankind moving forward.
What is your magic sauce?
The product is meant for everyday people and would be used by everyday people. We’re aren’t working on creating a new product but we’re working on innovating the already existing product to suit the current demand.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We would like the product to be consumed by everyone everywhere in the globe with optimal satisfaction because that’s the goal of eradicating famine and ensuring food safety and security
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
My biggest problem so far is to acquire adequate processing machines that meet international norms. Additionally to acquire certification from recognized laboratory.
The issue of lack of confidence from consumers because they need to be assured that what they’re consuming is recognized by a certified research laboratory committee.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
If my noble products are recognized and trusted by the desired consumers it would be awesome because they’re our driving force.
For our products to be sold on global scale bodies such as Food and Drug Organization, and many other certified bodies would have to confirm that our products are up to international norms and standard.
